The love child...

Neera bustled with life.  She laughed like a brook, danced like a river and talked like a cascade.
Aditya was the brightest and the most sizzling man around. The attraction was inescapable.

Every morning when Aditya woke her up, he saw in her eyes, the reflection of the happiest man in the universe.
Neera learnt what rising in love meant. When they made love, Neera could feel her body turning into a wispy mass, soaring high. She could walk with the clouds.

The child grew in her womb.
Labour hit her like lightning.  Neera’s shriek sounded of rolling thunder.
Little Varsha was born.
Aditya held Varsha’s fingers.
A rainbow appeared.

  4. Very cute. I hope you win. :)
And yes, they would get the subtlety. I'm sure people hosting a creative writing challenge know the meaning of Aditya and Varsha, and the connection when the two meet.

    3. And then, Neera and Varsha. So cool.
This reminds me of my friend and her daughter, Mohor and Gini. I just love their names.
I wish my name was Aditi, and my son's, Aditya.

      Okay, enough.
      All the best!

    4. Mohor is a beautiful name. So is Gini/ Guinea. :)
I used to love the name. Mohor. But then, by force majeure, I landed up being a lawyer. In Calcutta High Court, the fees of lawyers are paid in terms of Gold Mohors. 1 Gold Mohor = Rs.17. This was the practice since the British Raj, I assume and it has not changed. (P.S. It is only measured in terms of GMs, we obviously have never seen what they actually look like).
      P.P.S: What are WA glasses?

    5. Wow! I love it even more now. :D
Well, WA happens to be a person who once wrote, "I've never been an intellectual, but I have this look." Woody Allen, you know...

    1. I agree with you. But then, I did not want to make it so blatant. Aditya (for me) is a better name.
I did not get what you meant by Param and Parama. Please explain.
      P.S: Thanks for reading.:)

    2. Maybe you should have used words like Mihir and Aqua. Perhaps that's what Anonymous means.
